Thrilling Victory Pushes Cajuns Win Streak to 6
|
The Crowley Cajuns faced a tough opponent in Winter Haven pitcher Tim Walker, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Roadrunners Stadium by a final score of 4-3. Walker went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Melvin Martínez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Miguel Garza was tagged with the loss. Crowley, at 6-0, is off to a blistering start.
The most important at-bat for Crowley came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Francisco Rojas reached on an error by the center fielder, driving in 2 runs, putting Crowley up, 4-3.
"We put together a nice win," Rojas said.
