Revolution Win at Mancelona, 3-1
|
The Revolution faced a stiff challenge from Mancelona pitcher Jorge Oyas, but persevered to claim a win at Torch Field. The final score was 3-1. Oyas went 9 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Aksel Svendsen converted his 6th save in 7 tries. York, at 48-43, sits in 4th place in the Premier A.
The Revolution beat the Torch with some clutch hitting. The double by Bryant Dixon in the top of the fifth is a good example. With two down, Dixon gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.
"We take it day by day here," said Dixon, "and today was a good one for us."
