The Valley Blue Sox faced a tough opponent in York pitcher Knud Herrewijn, but did just enough to pull out the victory at York Park by a final score of 6-2. Herrewijn went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The winner was Valley reliever Tom Holloway, now 4-1. The loser was Júlio Antunez. The first-place Blue Sox have won 4 straight games.
