It was a good time at Carrier Field, where fans came to watch the Washington Generals and Delaware 1787 BC get after it.

A 4-RBI performance from the 22-year old first baseman Lucas Hancox helped the Delaware 1787 BC beat the Washington Generals, 8-5. Delaware starter Don Yi was credited with the win after throwing 117 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-6.

With Delaware trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Hancox hit a fastball from Esteban Martínez for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the 1787 BC ahead, 6-4.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Pedro Campos said.

The 8th-place Generals have dropped 5 straight games.
