The South Beach Blaze eked out a 4-3 win versus the Washington Generals at Washington Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Pavle Simic, who captured player of the game honors. Carlos Cardoso notched his 7th save in 7 chances. The second-place Blaze have won 6 straight games.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the fourth inning. That's when first baseman Ken Rodríguez, who is tied for 5th in the PA in runs scored with 43, drew a walk. The Blaze went on to win.
