Victory Over Torch Takes Valley to 63-15
|
Mancelona right fielder Carlos Morales had a good game, even if his team did not. The Torch dropped a 7-4 decision to Valley at Torch Field. Morales was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Blue Sox improved to a lofty 63-15.
Had Luis Aranda not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Aranda hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Blue Sox.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Aranda.
