The South Beach Blaze picked up a win at The Ballpark on the Beach, knocking off the Delaware 1787 BC, 4-1. Starting pitcher Miguel Rodríguez was an essential part of his team's success. Rodríguez, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 4 walks. Devoid Couch got the save, the 6th for him this season.
South Beach grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, John Jankila delivered a bases-clearing double, to make it 4-1 in favor of the Blaze.
