The exploits of left fielder Jesús Encarnación helped the Mancelona Torch defeat the York Revolution, 5-0. Encarnación was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Billy Craig got credit for the win, improving to 7-5. He allowed no runs on 5 hits in 6 innings. Hyun-koo Somun earned the save, his 1st, for the Torch.

Encarnación had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the third, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Torch went on to win.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said York manager Jared Gilbert.

Mancelona now sits in third place in the Premier A at 24-21.
