Revolution Turn Back Torch, 3-1
|
The York Revolution got a strong performance from pitcher David Silva, who stymied the Mancelona offense en route to a 3-1 win at York Park. Ricardo Morales earned the save for York, his 1st of the year. York now sits at 21-23, while Mancelona falls to 23-21.
The Revolution got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jorge Indiano. For the game, Indiano went 2-3 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 5th hit of the season gave York a 2-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Silva told reporters after the game.
