Huesca, Blue Sox Get 3-1 Win
|
Washington Park was the site of a competitive game between the Washington Generals and Valley Blue Sox.
Tomás Huesca never let the Generals get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Blue Sox to a 3-1 win. The wins continue to add up for Valley, with the latest making it 11 in a row.
Huesca, who was born in San José, Costa Rica, threw 79 pitches over 6.1 innings, while allowing no earned runs.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Washington manager Jacob Curtis.
