The Valley Blue Sox downed the Washington Generals, 6-0, at Washington Park. Frank Brinton led the way, going 3-for-4 for Valley. The first-place Blue Sox have won 9 straight games.

Germán Gracía's at-bat in the top of the sixth inning was a big one for Valley. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Valley leading 2-0, the second baseman reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.
