Chodorow Helps 1837 BBC Run Win Streak to 4
|
With shortstop Norm Chodorow leading the charge, the Houston 1837 BBC defeated the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 8-4, at Houston Grounds. Chodorow, who is tied for 8th in the SL in stolen bases with 5, went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Yoriyoshi Sugimoto locked down his 2nd save. The win takes Houston to 10-7.
Chodorow contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for Houston in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Chodorow took a changeup from Peace Addo and stroked the single to left. His 20th hit of the season allowed the 1837 BBC to leap in front, 4-3.
"I like our mindset right now," said Houston manager Tyler Johnson.
