South Beach pitcher Rex Aguilera gave the Blue Sox all they could handle, but in the end, Valley left The Ballpark on the Beach with a 7-4 win. Aguilera allowed no earned runs on 1 hit over 5 innings. Eddo Mud, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. Valley is now 21-8.
Early in the game, left fielder Frank Brinton had a run-scoring single for Valley. It was his 6th hit of the season and put the Blue Sox on top, 3-2.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Brinton.
