Valley Edges Washington, 1-0, Uribe Ks 10
|
The Valley Blue Sox got a stellar effort from pitcher Ignacio Uribe, helping Valley score a 1-0 win over the visiting Washington Generals. Mark Erwin picked up the save, his 1st. The Blue Sox, now 5-1, have stormed out of the gates.
The Blue Sox liked what they saw from Uribe. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Generals to no earned runs on 2 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 10.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Uribe.
