Trujillo Helps Jets Run Win Streak to 9
|
Kennesaw first baseman Lorenzo Trujillo had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 6-4 win over the Syracuse Storm. Willis Pittman got credit for the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 4 runs on 9 hits in 5.1 innings. Dragutin Petrovic sewed up the save, his 6th.
Trujillo contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Kennesaw in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-2, Trujillo took a fastball from Víctor Rodríguez and stroked the home run to right. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Jets to leap in front, 5-4.
"We played hard and won," said Trujillo. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
This win makes it 9 in a row for Kennesaw.
