Taylor Helps Syracuse Cruise to 10-3 Win
|
The Syracuse Storm beat the Yellowknife Dragonblood, 10-3, at The Dragon Den. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Stu Taylor, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3. Syracuse starter Joe Holland was credited with the win after throwing 124 pitches over 7.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. The Storm' win now puts them at 41-31.
Sadakuno Hashimoto drove in one run for Syracuse. In the top of the seventh, with the teams deadlocked, 3-3, Hashimoto delivered for the Storm. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Syracuse on top, 4-3.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Taylor told the Syracuse Herald.
