Syracuse Storm fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Derwood Carver blanked the Athletic Club KC U-24, 6-0 at Storm Park today. Carver stopped them on 2 hits while walking 2 and striking out 11.
"Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Storm skipper Curtis Lee said. "He was on top of his game in this one."
