Expos Sneak Past Storm, 3-2
The Syracuse Storm got a sterling performance from pitcher Carlos Simon, but the Expos still prevailed, 3-2. Simon was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The Expos now have a record of 17-28 with the win over Syracuse.

Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Cord Hosenbeck to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Expos on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hosenbeck said.
