Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Tula
|
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Bob McDougle, the Chicago Tula defeated the Niagara Falls Expos, 5-4. McDougle was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Tula. Edgardo Tejeda picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-5. Matt Brown was tagged with the loss. Niagara Falls's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
McDougle contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Chicago in the bottom of the ninth. With his team trailing 4-1, McDougle took a slider from Matt Brown and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Tula to leap in front, 5-4.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," McDougle said.
