Victory Over Storm Takes Caldwell to 28-12
|
It was a fun time at Pipers Ballpark, where the Syracuse Storm and Caldwell Chiefs tangled.
The Caldwell Chiefs got a strong performance from pitcher Wendell Baldwin, who stymied the Syracuse offense en route to a 4-1 win at Pipers Ballpark. James Callendar earned the save for Caldwell, his 20th.
Caldwell left fielder Daron Mack contributed to the cause with a single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Mack went 1-4.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Baldwin told reporters after the game.
The Chiefs bumped their record to 28-12 with this latest triumph.
