Cruz has 6 RBI, Dragonblood Move to 22-9
|
José Cruz added some punch to the Yellowknife offense, helping them outmuscle the Syracuse Storm, 9-7. In the game, Cruz went 2-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once. The win was Chris Douglas's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Donnie Rawling took the loss for Syracuse. Yellowknife currently is in second place in the Silver A at 22-9.
Cruz had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 slider from Keith Belcher, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Dragonblood a 9-6 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Cruz.
"We got the victory," said Cruz. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
