The Kennesaw Jets overcame a good performance by Put-In-Bay left fielder Larry Moore to knock off Put-In-Bay, 6-5, at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. Moore went 4-4 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The BC, at 6-14, have lost 8 in a row.
Tied up with the BC in the top of the fourth inning, the Jets got a boost from designated hitter Conor Culver. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Culver saw a 1-2 curveball from Eduardo Tovar and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Kennesaw on top, 4-2.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Culver. "And not try to do too much."
