With right fielder Dan Lewis leading the charge, the Syracuse Storm defeated the Louisiana Dragoons, 7-5, at Storm Park. Lewis was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Donnie Rawling, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 8 innings. Syracuse is now 4-5.
The Storm got a big at-bat from designated hitter José García. For the game, García went 1-2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 1st hit of the season gave Syracuse a 6-4 lead.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said García.
