Dragonblood Get One-Run Win at Put-In-Bay
|
Yellowknife rode a decent outing from starter Lewis Carter to victory over the Put-In-Bay BC at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. The final score was 3-2. Joel Plowden recorded the save for Yellowknife, his 2nd of the season. With the win, Yellowknife elevates its record to 3-0.
Tied up with the BC in the top of the fifth inning, the Dragonblood got a boost from third baseman Ricardo Mireles. With a runner on 2nd, Mireles saw a 1-2 fastball from Adrian Brown and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Yellowknife on top, 2-1.
"I like what I saw today," said Yellowknife manager Andha Gangulee, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
