Haynes 'Lights Out' in Columbia Win
|
Columbia River Rats starter Jake Haynes was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Eugene Vandals, 6-1. The last-place Vandals have lost 4 straight games.
Haynes, a native of Queens, New York, was dealing all game. He kept Eugene hitters off-balance, while giving the River Rats 8 quality innings. Haynes threw 102 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 13.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Haynes said.
