Hamhock Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Myrtle Beach in Walk-Off Win
|
Phoenix got a terrific performance from pitcher Bob Norlander, but it wasn't enough to beat the Myrtle Beach Seahawks. Myrtle Beach won the Seahwaks Stadium contest, 3-2. Norlander was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Myrtle Beach reliever Seung-jae Hwang picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Brenton Gunter absorbed the loss. With the win, Myrtle Beach has a record of 37-25. Phoenix falls to 29-33.
Myrtle Beach took a 3-2 lead on Roberts Hamhock's 10th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Phoenix pitcher Brenton Gunter in the bottom of the 11th.
"Put a star next to this win," Hamhock said.
