The Biloxi Shuckers topped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 8-7, with youngster Ezequiel Oacia playing a key role. Oacia hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for the Shuckers in the win. Biloxi reliever Bernard Cook got the win, raising his record to 4-6. Victor Lustig was tagged with the loss. The Shuckers' win now puts them at 38-59.

Oacia had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-2 slider from Victor Lustig, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Shuckers a 8-7 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Oacia.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Oacia.
