Tacoma Wins, Corkum goes 3-for-4
|
The Tacoma Fur Traders handed the San Bernardino Grasshoppers a loss at Ballpark of Tacoma. The final score was 9-2. Vance Corkum was named player of the game for Tacoma. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 1 run and drove in 4. He also added 1 walk. Walt Crouch got credit for the win, improving to 8-7. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 7.1 innings. Tacoma is now 37-48, while San Bernardino is 39-46.
In the bottom of the first, Josh Mawdesley hit a grand slam home run for Tacoma. The 5th home run of the season for the Tacoma right fielder put the Fur Traders on top, 4-1.
