Love Boats Fall to Grasshoppers, 8-6
|
Travis Towns had a 3-RBI game, during San Bernardino's 8-6 triumph over the Lake Minnetonka. Towns contributed 2 singles and 1 home run to the cause. Ewan Atwood recorded his 2nd save for San Bernardino. San Bernardino now owns a record of 36-44.
Tied up with the Love Boats in the top of the fifth inning, the Grasshoppers got a boost from catcher Wren Driscoll. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Driscoll saw a 0-2 cutter from Nam-shik Kwak and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put San Bernardino on top, 7-6.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said San Bernardino skipper Glenn Draper.
