Silver Sox Come Back Late to Top Loons

The Reno Silver Sox bested the Minnesota Loons, 5-3, at Tennille Grounds. Lloyd Raaijmakers was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Reno now owns a record of 40-31.
Reno won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Quan Shiu on the mound for Minnesota, second baseman Roy Burns hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Silver Sox fans to their feet.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Raaijmakers told the Reno Citizen.
