|
Reno catcher Berihun Tukufu was instrumental in his team's 7-3 win over the Springfield Shooters. Tukufu, who is tied for 10th in the PAA with a .384 on-base percentage, went 3-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Silver Sox. Hans Rager sewed up the save, his 9th. Reno is now riding a 3-game win streak.
In the top of the sixth inning, second baseman Karsten Naarden came through big-time for the Silver Sox. With Reno leading 4-3, he belted a 3-run home run.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Tukufu.
