Bowers goes 3-for-3 in Screaming Eagles Win

The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles topped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 8-6, at Mercer Island Grounds. Mercer Island shortstop Ed Bowers earned player of the game honors. He banged out 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 5 runs. Victor Lustig earned the win to go to 1-1. He allowed 2 earned runs on 3 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Mercer Island now sits at 23-19, while Tacoma falls to 16-26.
Bowers had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 2-run single. The Screaming Eagles went on to win.
