Reno got a strong outing from Dale Snider as the Silver Sox defeated the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, 4-2, at Field of the Grasshoppers. Reno is now 19-17. San Bernardino is 14-22.
Reno shortstop Alfredo Escalante made his contribution to the Silver Sox cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning. For the day, Escalante was 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI.
