Voodoo Win at Chicago, 3-2

Fans who came to Gold Sox Field watched the New Orleans Voodoo and the Chicago Gold Sox fight to the finish.
The New Orleans Voodoo did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Gold Sox at Gold Sox Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Shawn Williams, who captured player of the game honors. Mark Valle got the save, his 11th in 12 chances.
Vicente Romero helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give New Orleans a 2-0 lead.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Romero.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for New Orleans.
