Ghosts Come Back Late to Top Sonics
|
The Casper Ghosts downed the Atlantic City Sonics, 5-2, at The Graveyard. Steve Weber led the way, going 3-for-3 for Casper. Casper reliever Liangde Chien picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Ramón Ocegueda was collared with the loss. Marc Henderson earned the save, his 6th.
The Ghosts got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ronald Anderson. For the game, Anderson was 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 30th hit of the season gave Casper a 4-2 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Casper manager Jeff Walsh. "It's usually not just one thing."
Atlantic City has now lost 4 consecutive games.
