Love Boats Pin 7-5 Loss on Loons
|
Lake Minnetonka catcher Guillermo Carrizales was instrumental in his team's 7-5 win over the Minnesota Loons. Carrizales went 1-2 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Love Boats. Román Ornelas picked up the save for Lake Minnetonka, his 5th of the year. Lake Minnetonka is now 8-5.
Carrizales contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Lake Minnetonka in the top of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Carrizales took a changeup from Ángel Flores and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Love Boats to leap in front, 4-2.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Lake Minnetonka manager Chip Bishop.
