The Silver Sox faced a stiff challenge from Mercer Island pitcher Firpo Marberry, but persevered to claim a win at Tennille Grounds. The final score was 2-1. Marberry went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Reno starter Edgardo Salas was credited with the win after throwing 103 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Toshiki Yokoyama earned the save, his 5th, for the Silver Sox.

Reno grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Felix Plugge delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Silver Sox.

Plugge said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
