Biloxi Shuckers starter Mark Parker was in fine form against the Tacoma Fur Traders at The Pizza Oven, leading his team to a 3-1 win. In 7.2 innings, Parker surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Bernard Cook earned the save for Biloxi, his 2nd of the year.

Mink Molendijk drove in one run for Biloxi. The 25-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Phillip Donoghue. It was his 6th RBI of the season.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Parker, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
