Fur Traders Win at Biloxi, 8-4
|
The Tacoma Fur Traders bested the Biloxi Shuckers by a score of 8-4, with first baseman Silas Givens getting the main credit. On the day, Givens was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Fur Traders. Sherman Harrison picked up the save for Tacoma, his 1st of the year. The Fur Traders, now 2-6, have not found much traction so far in 2035.
Tacoma grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Josh Mawdesley delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Fur Traders.
"We came out aggressive," said Fur Traders manager George Sanford. "We came out swinging the bats."
