Romero Goes Wild, But Love Boats Win

The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats defeated the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, 8-6. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Vicente Romero, who went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. The winner was Inaki Maira in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Dane Bramble took the loss. With the loss, San Bernardino falls to 5-2.
Lake Minnetonka took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Gerardo Vázquez stroked a 2-run single to make it 7-5, Love Boats.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Lake Minnetonka skipper Chip Bishop.
