Benefiting from Raúl Cicerón's productive game, the Reno Silver Sox downed the Minnesota Loons, 4-2. Cicerón was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Silver Sox. Reno reliever Raúl Valdéz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rafael González took the loss. Picking up the save was Toshiki Yokoyama, his 4th.
Cicerón contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Reno in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Cicerón took a fastball from Rafael González and stroked the double to left-center. His 1st double of the season allowed the Silver Sox to leap in front, 3-2.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Reno skipper Emílio Sáenz. "I can't complain."
The loss drops Minnesota to 5-2.
