Golden Cranes Jolt Belugas with Late Rally
|
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes went home winners at Crane Field, thanks in large part to starter Alejandro García. García silenced the Brinkley Belugas, enabling Santa Barbara to grab the 1-0 win. Eijiro Takahashi, credited with the win, is now 5-7. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Santa Barbara is now 50-46, while Brinkley is 44-52.
Arsenio Laurel was the walk-off hero for Santa Barbara. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Golden Cranes right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said García.
