Sipe Dazzles in Santa Barbara Win
José Sipe never let the Nobles get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Golden Cranes to a 2-1 win. Eijiro Takahashi was credited with the save for Santa Barbara, his 16th of the season. Santa Barbara is now 42-40, while Bakersfield is 54-28.

The Nobles had few good swings against Sipe, the left-hander, who threw 102 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just no runs on 5 hits.
