Pitcher Charlie Fairthorne was sensational for the Bloomington Longnecks in his team's 3-0 triumph over the Pawnee ParksNRec. Fairthorne received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. John Walton, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 13th save. Bloomington occupies second place in the Premier AAA at 40-29.

The Longnecks got a big at-bat from left fielder Gabrio Campoverde. For the game, Campoverde went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Bloomington a 2-0 lead.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Fairthorne said after the game.
