Matson Sensational for Patriots
Eric Matson never let the Gold Sox get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his knuckleball, to pitch the Patriots to a 4-0 win. The Patriots bumped their record to 47-41 with this latest triumph.

The Gold Sox had trouble solving Matson, who surrendered no earned runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.

Matson told a Boston Times reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
