Belugas Lose to Men in Walk Off
|
The Florida Men trumped the Brinkley Belugas, 5-4, at Psychos Ballpark. Florida right fielder Jim Halpert was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Florida currently is in third place in the Premier AAA at 34-28.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, José Córdova had a chance to end it. Brinkley pitcher Vicente Durango had other ideas. But with two outs, Córdova drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Men had the win.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Halpert.
