The Baltimore Black Sox met little resistance from the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, beating them 11-3 at Constellation Ballpark. Randy Contreras led the way. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Baltimore. The Black Sox saw their win-loss record go to 26-33. At the same time, the Golden Cranes fell to 31-28.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the fourth inning. That's when catcher Pedro Torres drew a walk. The Black Sox went on to win.

"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Contreras. "Just do my job."
