The Scranton Supernovas topped the Baltimore Black Sox, 9-0, in USPL Triple A action at Nuclear Stadium. The player of the game was Scranton pitcher and Caguas, Puerto Rico native Ángel Gardener. Baltimore's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Kent Summey aided the Scranton cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI.
"I thought we played a nice game," Summey told the Scranton Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
