Longnecks Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Scranton
|
It was a fun time at Lookouts Ballpark, where the Scranton Supernovas and Bloomington Longnecks tangled.
The Bloomington Longnecks beat the Scranton Supernovas, 7-2, at Lookouts Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of second baseman Jeff Solís, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Earning his 1st save for Bloomington was Steve Wortley.
Richello Mabait, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA in total bases with 119, chipped in for Bloomington with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Solís.
Bloomington is now 30-24, Scranton 25-29.
