Despite a fine performance by shortstop Román Ramírez, the Scranton Supernovas suffered a 5-3 loss to the Bloomington Longnecks. Ramírez went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Geoff Stackhouse got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. Branlyn Jaraba earned the save for Bloomington, his 1st of the year.

Early in the game, left fielder Gabrio Campoverde had a 2-run single for Bloomington. It was his 5th hit of the season and put the Longnecks on top, 4-3.

"I felt good up there," said Campoverde. "I saw the ball well."
